Our Impact

Your baby will use over 6,000 nappies and over 12,000 wipes in the first few years of their life.

This is such an amazing opportunity to do something wonderful for your baby as well as for the planet they will inherit. Learn more about our partners and the sustainable practices that tooshies is undertaking for a better future.

We love Bamboo

Our ECO Nappies and ECO Nappy Pants are made with bamboo, the world's most sustainable plant.

Bamboo is gentle
on the planet

The most sustainable plant on earth, bamboo can grow up to 3 feet in only 24 hours.

Bamboo produces 50% more oxygen than forest trees and absorbs 2 x more carbon dioxide.

Bamboo can be cultivated naturally without pesticides or chemicals to enhance growth.

Bamboo is gentle
on baby

The natural structure of bamboo fibre leaves tiny gaps for air to flow freely.

With ventilation gaps removing the environment where bacteria would typically multiply.

Due to the natural absorbency, bamboo wicks away moisture up to four times faster than cotton.

Organic Ingredients

Our tooshies™ Baby Wipes are made from cellulose, so no plastic binders are included. We use both natural and organic ingredients in our baby wipes because we believe in looking after our health and our planet.

The bamboo used in tooshies ECO Nappies is grown organically in an organic certified farm.

Our signature tooshies Baby Wipes include organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder and Chamomile Recutita Flower Extract.

Plant-Based Ingredients

We ease the load on the environment by swapping out plastic and crude-oil based materials with sustainable, plant-based alternatives in our nappies and wipes wherever possible.
We are also proud that our wipes are 100% plastic free and biodegradable. No poly binders and no latex. Independently tested to biodegrade and compost within 60-90 days.
Our tooshies™ ECO Nappy Pants are made with 78% plant based materials and 75% less plastic than conventional disposable nappies.
Our tooshies™ Biodegradable Nappy Bags are made with a bioplastic made from cornstarch.

Our Positive Impact

Our planet and our communities need more people that want to make a difference.

We support and partner with people, groups and projects that are activists for social and for environmental change.

Together we aim to create a long term, real impact for people and for the environment our little one’s will eventually inherit.

Waste Revolution

Technology currently doesn’t enable us to make a fully biodegradable nappy that will also actually work, so all disposable nappies still include some plastic-based ingredients. While we are committed to reducing this over time, our donation program with Waste Revolution enables us to have a better impact on the amount of plastic that ends up in landfill and in our environment.

Through our donation program with Waste Revolution, we are helping to recycle over 7,500kgs of plastic from the Australian environment and via BlazeAid, repurpose that plastic to help communities and farms rebuilds after natural disasters.

& Sourcing

According to ibisworld, ‘2.5% of Australian landfill is made up of nappies alone, and 85% of a disposable nappy’s environmental impact derived from its raw materials.

We'd love to see the entire life cycle of disposable nappies become more sustainable.
